Loan camping equipment
Wempaimisto is a camping equipment loan centre in the Östersundom camp centre. Wempaimisto rents out equipment to young people and groups under the age of 29 who live in Helsinki, Helsinki-based youth organisations, the city’s divisions and other Helsinki-based organisations. The equipment is only rented out for domestic activities.
Private borrowers must have a valid Youth Services membership card, which can be obtained free of charge when borrowing equipment. Young people aged between 13 and 28 can also download the membership card electronically. Minors must have their guardian’s approval.
Supplies and equipment are only rented out to Helsinki-based youth organisations, youth groups, branches of the city administration, organisations and private persons. Private borrowers (aged under 29 years) must have a valid Youth Services membership card, which can be obtained free of charge when borrowing equipment.

- and other items needed for forest and wilderness excursions.
Organisations and schools must have a power of attorney, which shows the signature of the chairperson or secretary (the headmaster in case of schools), their contact details and an official stamp. The equipment is intended for use by Helsinki-based organisations, schools and youth groups.
Please remember to bring your ID. Private persons may only borrow equipment, such a tent and a camping cooker, for themselves.
